Ms. Teton’s responsibilities include assisting Tribal, state and federal legislative offices concerning issues affecting the Tribes, and handles all external media relations for the Tribes with a focus on building relationships with key stakeholders. Randy’L is active in the tribal and regional community and sits on various committees and boards including: former Board member of Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce Board (3 year term), Pocatello Rotary, Southeast Idaho High Country tourism board member, member of Pocatello Chamber of Commerce, Idaho State Historical Society Tribal representative, member of the State of Idaho Indian Education Board and Museum of Idaho Board member. Randy’L Teton was born and raised Blackfoot, Idaho in Lincoln Creek district on the Fort Hall Reservation. Ms. Teton graduated from Blackfoot high school and attended the following colleges: Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico graduated with an Associates of Fine Arts in Museum Studies; Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado; University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History and minor in Native American Studies.Ms. Teton has been recognized with the following awards:–(2015) Blackfoot Dancing with the Stars Honorable Mention–(2016) ‘Twenty Under 40’ Award sponsored by the South East Idaho Business Journal, she is the first Shoshone-Bannock Tribal member to receive the award based on her service and commitment to the community–(2017) Randy’L was awarded the Idaho Hometown Hero Medal Award, which recognizes significant dedication and achievement to the Southeastern Idaho community.
